For two days, team NAWASSCO was able to camp at Kanu Street, Heshima market, Railways grounds, Oginga Odinga Road and Check point stage. During the open days, NAWASSCO social media pages; twitter and face book carried the hashtag #improving services. According to the oxford dictionary, delight is the fact or condition of being delighted, pleasure, joy or gratification felt in a high degree or to give pleasure or enjoyment and to please highly. Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company Ltd continue to embrace the words envisaged in their vision and mission by reaching the underserved community in the Low Income Areas. On 19th September 2013, at Nairobi Road Primary, the Mzee Wanyama 4th Call Urban Project Concept funded by WSTF was commissioned.The commissioning was attended by the County Minister for Environment, Natural resources, water and energy- Hon. NAWASSCO Goes Digital

Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company Limited (NAWASSCO) has embraced modern technology by being the first company to launch mobile meter reading in the water sector. The Launch held on 1st August 2013 was attended by: Mr. Bartonjo Chesaina; Chairman Rift Valley Water Services Board (RVWSB), Eng. Japheth Mutai; CEO of RVWSB, Ms. Joyce Oduor; Ag. Chairlady NAWASSCO board, Eng. John Cheruiyot; Managing Director of NAWASSCO, NAWASSCO staff members and other stakeholders in the water sector.

A journey that begun in 2009 has finally bore good fruit. In 2013, NAWASSCO began the lab accreditation process with the accreditation body Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS). The process was a long and rigorous one that would ensure that NAWASSCO’s laboratory services meets international standards. KENAS is the Sole National Accreditation Body (NAB) mandated to offer accreditation services in Kenya. It is established under the States Corporations Act, Cap 446; vide Legal Notice No. 55 of May 2009. It gives formal attestation that Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) are competent to carry out specific conformity assessment activities.
